Plan Components
Event Promotion
Coach Marketing will create and implement a coordinated promotion plan for each CBC event. These plans include e-blasts, social media posts, blog posts, PR releases sent to media pre and post event, and post event recap blogs.
Four events of CBC’s choosing will also receive a 2-3 min promotional video to be used in the previously mentioned communications. While the CBC may choose any four events, we recommend the following:
- Economic Forecast Meeting
- Future Leaders
- Merit Awards
- CBC Golf Outing
- Coach Marketing will work with the CBC to establish a full production calendar detailing promotion for each event.
Podcasts
Coach Marketing will produce 1 – 30 to 45 minute podcast each month on a series industry related topics. Content will feature members of the Association who will be interviewed on a topic that pertains to their expertise, including any industry relevant current events. The podcasts will increase CBC brand exposure, as well as add value to the audience and promotional exposure to the guest.
Coach Marketing will work with the CBC to identify potential member guests. Once a potential guest is identified, Coach Marketing will reach out to them to set expectations, as well as arrange a time and place to record the interview. Coach Marketing will also send all guests a pre-recording checklist to help them prepare.
Each podcast will be fully produced in house by Coach Marketing, and uploaded to the website and apple podcast store.
Every podcast can also be sponsored by one CBC member company, allowing for revenue generation. The sponsor will be noted at the beginning and middle of each podcast.
Potential topics include:
- Safety-Related Programs
- Risk Management for the Building Professional
- Marketing to the Chicago Building Community
- Pending Legislation that could affect the Industry
- Developing Engagement with Your Customers and Prospects
- The Commercial Market Current Market Trends
- The Industrial Market Current Market Trends
- Best Practices for Labor/Management Relations
- The IRS and You, Year-End Tax Planning Tips for Your Firm
Merit Awards Video Series
Coach Marketing will design an integrated video campaign around the 2016 Merit Awards. Videos will contain footage of nominee presentations, judge interviews, CBC board interviews, and nominated project media. An example video schedule is:
- Awards Announcement Video – Save the date, build awareness and excitement
- Category Overview Videos – A look at each categories submissions and judging process
- Post Show Video – Recap of the event
CBC Expert Series
In an effort to add value to CBC membership, this is a member’s only video series in which CBC experts relay industry specific advice and information in their area of expertise. The goal of each video is to give an insider, expert perspective on current events and the industry as a whole.
These videos will be available only to CBC members.
Coach Marketing will produce 1 – 10 to 15 minute video per quarter. Videos will include live footage, as well as on screen motion graphics illustrating key points and ideas. Each video will also include a custom beginning and end bumper animation, branding the series.
Webinar Series
Coach Marketing will produce and conduct 2 online seminars per year designed to showcase the value of the CBC to existing and prospective members. Like the CBC Expert Series, the webinars will showcase top CBC members speaking on industry relevant topics, but will be open to the public, and allow for real time interaction.
Blog
We see a blog as an opportunity to tie together all CBC messaging and media into a consistent and unified package. Each video, announcement and podcast will be accompanied by a blog post, detailing and summarizing the content in text. This gives the audience another way to receive CBC info, as well as cross promotes and increases SEO.
Having this information presented as text via blog entries is extremely beneficial in helping search engines find and link to your content, and allows for a sortable archive of all CBC communications.
Social Media
Promoting the CBC and its events can be greatly aided by incorporating a structured social media plan. Coach Marketing will setup and maintain dedicated pages/profiles on the following social media platforms:
- YouTube
All posts will share and highlight other CBC communications, and ensure exposure to the largest audience, regardless of preferred social platform.
Public Relations
Coach Marketing will produce and submit PR releases to appropriate media and organizations. Releases will be sent before events in promotion, as well as after events to summarize. Releases will also be sent in conjunction with special news and announcements.
Coach Marketing will work with local media to ensure they have access to any pictures, video, or information needed to cover the CBC. A constant effort will be made to establish mutually beneficial relationships with the media.
